"GY6 Repair Manual"

This is my first post on this board and I am fairly new to scooter world!
Anyhow I have a RC Moto Hot Rod 150 {that I absolutely love for the money I have in it} Back to the question. It seems as though a shop manual on the Gy6 is almost impossible to find. I have bought a brand new motor that I want to tweak{ big bore, cam, big vavle head, etc} but I don't want to start on this until i have a manual with timing specs, ring end gaps, etc. Anyone on here know of a manual specific to the Gy6?

google "scoot dawg". this guy has made a few home made manuals for the motor. I think buying a spare motor is a good idea. When you get spares buy 2. In my experinece with chinese metalurgy there are some things on the motor that will be fine and others will crumble in your hands. Nothing more frustrating than getting a bunch of goodies and having something simple crack or strip and leave you stranded.

Oh I am VERY sure that I will make some BIG goofs and mistakes learning this scooter hobby. I am the Tim Allen around here! I can't leave anything stock gotta have more power! I have been playing with performance cars for let's say quite a few years and in the last year I got the scooter bug. Last year I put 250 miles on my Grand National and 1300 miles on my scoot {didn't get it until the middle of July} So far I have been having a ball with this scooter thing. Thanks to all who replied hopefully one day I can be helpful member also!

   I don't see a lot of anti-Chinese sentiment here.
What I see is a lot of people willing to help.

Donzi, Get the chip of your shoulder.

My Stella is running great! Don't have to look at the new ones because I don't have to think about selling it. Haven't had to make a single adjustment and will probably leave it to my grandchildren in my will.
Based on your posts here about the maintenance you've done to your Chinese scooter, I am sure you cannot say the same.

What is the purpose of your posts again?

Doood.. I do the maintence on my Stella. Just the basic stuff and I have no issues. My Stella runs great!

You picked me out of the crowd. Are you jealous?
Perhaps you should have bought a Stalla instead of a Chinese POS.
I don't have any problems . Do you?

Or perhaps you sell these pieces of shit and have an agenda.

You know Donzi, you aren't worth the key storokes.
I am happy with my scooter. I am sorry you aren't
But talking to you is like talking to a rock. Doesn't do any good.
Your posts prove you aren't here to help, but to cause trouble.

Good luck with your Chinese scooter.
