What would be a good way to fill the small holes for the original badges? I will be powdercoating the legshield, so whatever I use needs to work for powdercoating. I think that welding them up will cause more problems than solutions because of heat / warpage, larger deformities, etc.

"Here are some highlights from the new findings:
82 percent of participants reported that they depend on God for help and guidance in making decisions.
71 percent said they believe that when good or bad things happen, these occurrences are simply part of God's plan for them.
61 percent indicated they believe God has determined the direction and course of their lives.
32 percent agreed with the statement: "There is no sense in planning a lot because ultimately my fate is in God's hands.""

That last one is more than a little disturbing.
And if it's true, God has led me into a hell of a lot of bars.

Back in November of 2009, Fullerton Vintage closed. However, they neglected to tell anyone this until well into 2010. That is unless you badgered them and tracked them down on foot over the course of months, which is what I did. I finally found Christopher Lawrence at the shop and he explained to me that the shop was closing. I thought him to be a stand up guy and asked if he was still going to do work on the side. He said yes and told me it would take a month. A month and a half later and nothing. Then the text war began. Finally, I just asked to pick the parts up without the work being done, but then I was hit with a series of excuses: He was sick, he had to go to the hospital to get his knee drained, he had to wash his hair, he had to find the parts is some boxes, then back to the hospital; etc. In short he threatened me and kept extending the date the work would be done until he disconnected his phone and made off with my engine and a ton of performance parts I have been buying over the course of 5+ years. I am aware of many others who have lost thousands of dollars and their bikes as well. For anyone anywhere looking to get work done on their scoots, STAY AWAY FROM CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE!!!
Alright, I can't find anything on this.

I have not seen ONE person answer the question about these runaway cars. Is there something making it impossible to shut off the engine or to put the car in neutral?????

If it isn't possible to "kill" the motor, why? Isn't that THE major safety issue in EVERY car? I mean, you can't build one of our beloved scooters without a big red or yellow button within easy reach to kill the motor.

I got to installing my EGT gauge tonight after talking about it for over a year. I was wondering if anyone has used one of these analog-look digital sets before? The LED backlight is very bright, as are the Peak and Warn lights. I still have to route the wires through the legshield, but it looks good so far.

I didn't really want to put the control box in the toolbox, but I need to get to the buttons to initially set the Warn temp. But at least it'll be in from the rain. And I can always keep my oil in the battery tray.

Howdy,

In a nutshell, my engine is fine without the headlight connected, but when plugged in it starts very hard if it all and dies quickly. The hi-beam kills it even quicker.

The details:
'79 P200 (VSX1T) US-spec with double yellow stator and the following diagram:
http://scooterhelp.com/electrics/pag...00.html#before

Entire bike purchased in boxes and has been rebuilt with new wiring harness. All DC electrics (horn, turn signals, indicator lights, speedo light etc) work just fine with or without headlight attached.

The headlight is a Halogen upgrade, I believe it is this one:
http://www.scooterworks.com/Headlamp..._P1219C451.cfm

I also tried a stock headlight and it still killed the engine, although it might have taken a little longer.

I disconnected the green kill wire from the headset switch to the CDI and the results were the same: engine runs fine until headlight is connected, then it dies.

I've searched the archive and found some good info, tried a few things, but I'm still not getting it, so any ideas would be much appreciated.

Cheers...
