Yeah, I'm sure she spilled 190 degree coffee on herself on purpose.
Here;s the point, plain and simple. Accidents happen, no one is negating that. But the FACT is that she would not have received such severe burns had the coffee not been so hot (refer to my figures in my last post regarding how long it takes to receive 3rd degree burns at different temps). And it was way hotter than it needed to be- way hotter than to be fit for consumption- which means McDonalds, who knew it was too hot and had more than 700 injuries incurred from their coffee in the past, was negligent. When a company is negligent and bodily injury is incurred as a result of that negligence, they can be held responsible in a criminal and civil court of law. Same reason why manslaughter is on the books, right? When someone's actions indirectly lead to another person's death, that person can be convicted of manslaughter.

I mean come on, maybe she should also be at fault cus she was wearing cotton jogging pants, when everyone *knows* that when you buy a cup of coffee you should be wearing a thermo-protective suit.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I porn surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious sites of 'hot xxx galore'. While I clicked my favorite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour. "'Tis not possible!", I muttered, "Give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, "404."
