Why is it too much to ask for someone to be careful with a 190 degree liquid?
well, coffee isn't supposed to be 190 degrees. that's a dangerous temperature. as i said, i've spilled coffee on myself dozens of times, and i've never gotten badly burned. why? cause i don't drink mcdonalds coffee.
You have to be careful with it same as you have to be careful with boiling water when you strain pasta. You know it's hot, you know it has the potential to injure you.
but there's a difference between making your own food and getting it from someone else. if you undercook a hamburger and almost die of e. coli, you have noone but yourself to blame. if you get a burger from mcdonalds and almost die from e.coli, that's a different story.
and while you know coffee is hot, you also know it isn't that hot. or at least it isn't supposed to be.
