in response to GAry:

: Yea, me too. I've been told with electronic ignition my Lamby would be reliable. But I think I bought an unreliable Vespa electronic black box (hehehe). I think the more mods you do to an engine (modifications, not mods hump'n yer tailpipe) the more likely you are to have problems. my 2 cents -GAry

: I am currently looking for a "reliable" Lambretta. If ya have any advice on which is the most desirable I would love to hear it!!

Actually, I think I have the reliable lambretta. It is a first year servetta so it is basically an SX with innocenti parts, but a servetta logo on the horncasting.
It is reliable because I replaced the ENTIRE wiring harness with my own design and all the bearings are replaced with overstrength. There is a joke:
Why is a 10 year old lambretta as reliable as a brand new one?
Because you have replaced all the old parts with new ones.
