Rabbit ear floppings

What's to alter? A Briggs & Stratton should pretty much bolt right into place. No cutting would be involved, it's strictly a bolt-together deal. Save the original parts for when you run across a collector with $400 burning a hole in his pension fund who wants a running original Pigeon (like me).

: 2. No front brake. Fast ain't no fun if you can't stop. That wheel is too beefy to sneak a disc brake in there (yes I've measured).

Good point, although most models had front brakes. Which model do you have? If you need a front hub with brakes, check with Marvin W. or Scoot Mike, they probably have spares.

Then again, who needs a front brake when your front tire spends most of its time up in the air?
